Visit to Greece

The second visit of our Comenius project took place in Greece from 27 February to 2 March 2012. Students and teachers from all partner schools went to Soufli, where they received a warm welcome by their Greek partners from Gymnasio Soufliou. The students stayed in host families and had the opportunity to experience first-hand how their Greek friends live.

The Greek team did a wonderful job organising the programme for the visit which included lots of different activities involving both students and teachers, like visits to several museums and other institutions, a day trip to the city of Alexandroupolis or a walk through the forest under the snow. And while teachers held their project meetings, students from all countries had the chance to participate in different activities, lessons and workshops with the Greek students and exchange experiences. Among other things, they prepared a pantomime which they performed on the last day as part of the Farewell show. Greek students had also prepared different dancing and musical performances for the event.

All in all, it was a wonderful experience for all of us, and we would like to thank the Greek team and the host families again for their work and their hospitality.
